Licensed Therapist · Kids & teens

Alison Albino, LCSW, MT-BC

Alison works with a lot of people who’ve been told they’re “too much”: kids with big feelings, teens sorting out who they are, adults who think faster than they can talk. She’s a licensed clinical social worker and a board-certified music therapist, and she uses both.

About Alison

Alison sees children, teens, and adults, often for ADHD, anxiety, grief, and the stretches of life where everything changes at once. She also works with families and with LGBTQ+ clients, and she spent more than five years in hospice care, which shaped how she sits with loss.

Sessions are collaborative and warm, and humor is allowed. She combines CBT and DBT with expressive arts, play therapy, and music therapy, choosing what fits the person in front of her rather than running everyone through the same program. Her aim is a room where strengths get noticed as clearly as problems do.

Alison earned her Master of Social Work at the University of Connecticut and holds a school social work credential. Before CMHS she worked in schools, hospitals, hospice, skilled nursing, and community mental health.

Alison sees clients through CMHS in Milford, CT and via secure telehealth across Connecticut. Not sure who’s the right fit? Our team will match you — start here.
