Medication can be a meaningful part of treatment when symptoms are significantly affecting daily functioning, when therapy alone isn't producing enough relief, or when a biological component appears to be driving the pattern.
Whether medication makes sense comes down to a few things: how much your symptoms are affecting daily functioning, whether therapy alone has gotten you as far as it can, and whether a biological component seems to be part of the pattern. We walk through all of that together at your first appointment — the goal is a clear picture of your situation, not a quick label.

Our psychiatrists and APRNs conduct thorough evaluations before recommending a plan. That means understanding your full history: previous medications, current symptoms, co-occurring conditions, and what's already working in your care.
From there, we monitor carefully, adjust when needed, and stay in communication with your therapist so that medication decisions are always made with the full picture. The plan comes after that conversation, not before it.
